That night Pastor Anil Kant accepted Lord Jesus in his heart and received salvation. Jesus took the sin upon Himself so that we might have a restored relationship with our Creator. He knew that God loves him, and also learnt that God sent his son Jesus, to earth to pay the penalty for our sins. He experienced a new freedom – freedom from the past, from bondage, sin and selfishness. No one comes to the Father except through me. He wanted to have an enduring relationship with God for a long time and one night, while reading the bible, he read the verse from John 14:6, I am the way, the truth and the life. During this period of settling down in Mumbai, he encountered Jesus which marked the beginning of a changed heart and a new life. In the year 1999, Pastor Anil Kant returned to India along with his family.

And the truth set him free from all bondages and rituals. It opened up his heart slowly and he began to read the Bible. They prayed consistently for him and his family. During these training sessions the love of Jesus was shared with him. Some close friends invited him to train their church choir in Indian music. But at the same time, his heart continued to search for the truth as he had been longing for a deep and enduring relationship with God.
In 1990 they moved to Jakarta, Indonesia to continue the musical journey which was giving Pastor Kant recognition, prosperity and greater achievements. He continued to pursue an onstage career that put him on the fast track to fame and prosperity giving performances, traveling frequently all over the world. After their marriage, they shifted to Singapore, where they resided from 1986 – 1990. It was during this time that he met his wife, Reena, who was also musically inclined. He took it as a profession at the age of eighteen, while in University. Pastor Kant started writing, composing and singing at the early age of twelve. In spite of the regular spiritual guidance from his parents Pastor Anil Kant still knew that something was amiss and from a young age had a quest for a close relationship with God. His parents, being very devout and religious, taught him Hindu scriptures from a young age. Pastor Anil Kant comes from a Hindu-Punjabi family.
